Does a contract have to be in writing to be enforceable in Nebraska?
Not always, but Nebraska law requires certain contracts to be in writing to be enforceable, including contracts for the sale of real estate and agreements that cannot be performed within one year. Verbal contracts can be enforceable but are significantly harder to prove.
